About Mandi Parrish, RNC-MNN, IBCLC
I started my nursing career in 2007 in labor and delivery and have attended over 1000 births as a nurse. After 8 years, I stepped away from hospital nursing to attend births as a doula and pursue additional lactation education after experiencing both wonderful and not so wonderful support during my own pregnancy and breastfeeding journeys.
I became a Certified Labor Doula (CLD) and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in 2015, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2018. I have been seeing lactation clients in private practice since 2016 and added sleep coaching to my services in 2019 after training with the Holistic Sleep Coaching Program. In 2021, I obtained a national certification as a Maternal Newborn Nurse (MNN). I have additional training in therapeutic ultrasound treatments and manual lymphatic drainage. In 2023, I began training with Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy.
I worked with Atlanta Birth Center from 2016 to 2021 as a birth center nurse, a home visit nurse, and eventually their Nursing Director. I provided in-hospital lactation support at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center until they closed in 2022. I have also attended homebirths as a birth assistant.
I have been married to my sexy nerd of a husband, Ryan, since 2005, and we have three beautiful children, Lily, Juliet, and Maxwell. I love listening to podcasts, reading too much, cooking and eating real food, taking care of our backyard chickens, and wandering around Target by myself with Starbucks in hand. I pride myself on meeting families where they are, providing honest, practical, and non-judgmental care. Whether formal or casual, my goal is to put families at ease, ensuring they feel supported and confident on their parenting journey.
